Laban is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years of global experience in the field of Audit, Tax and Corporate Finance. He holds a Masters in Business Administration in Strategic Management.

Laban is the current President of ADAM GLOBAL (Africa and Middle East Region); ADAM Global is a leading international platform of business networksthat encompasses various professionals including Accountants, lawyers, medical practitioners and specialized consultants. Laban has in-depth understanding of investments and business management particularly in the African region. Phoebe is an experienced auditor adept in generation and implementation of audit procedures and summative evaluation of accounting systems. She has a successful track record spanning over 2 decades in finance, accounting and audit matters.

She holds a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration and is a certified public Accountant. Phoebe has specialized in financial matters relating to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs).

Phoebe is an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Institute of Directors (IOD) and Association of Women Accountants (AWAK). She currently serves as a member of the Internal Audit Sub-workstream Committee of ICPAK. Read More

Associate Partner

Maureen is a skilled Accountant and an Associate Partner at Labchey Consulting. She has extensive knowledge in financial accounting and audit matters. Her exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with her passion in tax matters saw her rise to head the Tax Consulting Department at the firm.

Maureen is currently pursuing a Masters’ degree in Strategic Management at Kenyatta University. Prior to joining Labchey consulting Maureen worked as an Accountant at Micro Africa Consulting and Job Zone Ventures.

Audit Manager

Hudson Mwatika is an Audit Manager at Labchey Consulting. He is a detail-oriented and diligent finance professional with over 10 years’ experience in Audit and over 15 years’ experience in Banking. Hudson supervises financial audits of clients. He evaluates management and financial systems including internal control measures within the company to maximize efficiency in meeting our clients’ needs among other roles.

Sarah Were is an Auditor at Labchey Consulting and a Certified Public Accountant. She has over 18 years of experience in Accounting and Audit matters. Sarah is a key team player in the Company’s Forensic Affairs department assisting in forensic audits and tax matters. Read More


Elizabeth Muli is an Auditor at Labchey Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) in Business Studies and Economics and is currently completing Part III of CPA. She is a motivated team player with outstanding team leadership abilities. Elizabeth’s portfolio consists of a range of private sector players, many being in the healthcare sector.

Company Secretary

Evalyne Wandeto is a lawyer by profession. Evalyne handles the company secretarial matters of clients at Labchey Consulting.  She is keenly interested in corporate governance, tax dispute resolution and commercial law matters. She works closely with the Managing Partner in Tax Dispute matters. She represents clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution forums and at the Tax tribunal. She previously worked as an executive team member in Taifa Teule Network, leading expansion of the NGOs physical presence in Kiambu and Kajiado Counties, and as a policy lobbyist and advocate at Greenpeace Kenya.

Office Manager

Monica Chege is the Office Manager at Labchey Consulting. She has over 15 years’ experience in office management. Monica assists in filling of documents in government offices and website and has a practical understanding of the day-to-day administrative work of an accounting firm.

Monica is a born-again Christian and married to Laban: they are blessed with four children; three sons and a daughter.


Cynthia Kiarie is a skilled auditor with extensive knowledge in financial auditing, accounting and tax matters. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Strathmore University. She previously worked as a finance intern at Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) and as an Accountant in Grant Thornton. She offers key insights drawn from both public and private sectors. She is a highly efficient team member with excellent attention to detail and strong planning and organizational skills which have seen her become a pioneering official of the Labchey Staff Welfare.


Alex Ogega is an accountant at Labchey Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Multimedia University. He previously worked as a credit relations officer at Opera Software and as a management trainee at Postal Corporation of Kenya. Alex has demonstrated great leadership abilities in pioneering the establishment of the Labchey Staff Welfare Association and currently serves as its first Chairperson.


Jenniffer Njeri is an accountant at Labchey Consulting. She is currently pursuing a diploma (Accounting Technicians Diploma-ATD). She has 7 years of experience as an administrative supervisor in various hospitality retail outlets. The considerable experience in the area of accounting and administrative work has molded her ability to offer team support and ensure that each need of our clients is addressed.


Florence Wanjiru is an accountant at Labchey Consulting and a Certified Public Accountant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Co-operative Business (Finance) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Prior to joining Labchey Consulting, she worked as an account’s assistant in Kenya National Union of Teachers – Nairobi Branch and the Kenya School of Monetary Studies.

Rachael Mugo is an Audit Assistant at Labchey Consulting. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Nairobi. Rachael is a detail-oriented person with keen interest in financial accounting systems and business developments.

Moureen Gakii is an Audit Assistant at Labchey Consulting and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Strathmore University. She holds a diploma in Banking and Finance from Tom Mboya Labor College. Moureen is a dedicated staff member with keen interest in financial accounting and auditing. She has previously worked and an accounts assistant at Kenya Red Cross Society, Favourita Dairy Company and FEP SACCO.

Human Resource Manager/ Office Administrator

Doris Kendi is a Human Resource Manager and Office Administrator at Labchey Consulting. She is a motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. Doris has 10 years’ experience in office administrative duties. Doris holds a Diploma in Business Management from Mt. Kenya University. Doris has previously worked in several medium-sized retail enterprises as a sales officer.


Ruth Akoth is the receptionist at Labchey consulting. She has been in the customer care industry for 5 years. As the first point of contact with the company, Ruth is dedicated to ensuring all our clients receive a warm and professional welcome and are served in an efficient manner. She offers a first great impression to all our customers.
